Hamilton, NSW

Good to know: Google treats the place as a hint, and your own search history can still change results. Expect close to what a local sees, not an exact copy.

Google says results can differ because of time, location, language, device and personalisation. For local searches, where someone searches from matters a lot, so a customer two suburbs away can see a different map and list.
No. Google treats the place you pick as a hint, and if you’re signed in it can still use your own search activity. Treat it as a close look at local results, not an exact copy. Google’s “Try without” link at the bottom of results turns off personalisation for that search.
For checking your ads, Google recommends the Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool in Google Ads, because it avoids adding impressions to your statistics. If you check ads here, don’t click them.
For local results, Google looks at relevance, distance and prominence. Distance is how far your business is from the person searching, so showing less further away is normal. Google says complete, accurate details and more reviews can help your local ranking.
No. The tool runs in your browser and opens a normal Google search link. Nothing is saved, and there’s no sign-up and no daily limit.
