Google says businesses with complete and accurate info are more likely to show up in local search results. Ranking also depends on relevance, distance and prominence, so this score isn’t a ranking prediction.

Google says to use as few categories as possible to describe your core business, choosing from its list.

If you visit customers rather than having them come to you, Google says service-area businesses should hide their address and set the areas they serve.

Google suggests exterior photos, at least three interior photos and at least three photos of your team, plus photos of your work. Photos should be JPG or PNG, between 10 KB and 5 MB.

Google archives posts older than six months unless you set a date range, so a short update every month or so keeps your profile looking current.
